The First Time

VitamixI like this blender. I learned about it from a colleague who happens to be a great cook. I went to her house and I was able to try the Vitamix for the very first time. I was amazed by how easy this is to use. I am no kitchen expert but I appreciate the ease of use and the fact that it is very easy to clean. Even the toughest stains are removed effortlessly. I am so impressed. I bought mine on sale online and I love making all the recipes. No matter how little time I have, I am able to serve really healthy meals to my family. They are very impressed with my progress in the kitchen.

I owe it all to this stunning blender. Mine is a red one and it fits well on my kitchen counter. This is incredibly good. Try this now. LOVE Vitamix.

Tips in Baking Yummy Apple Pies

Picking Granny Smith ApplesQuestion: I want to make my first apple pie for my mom’s birthday party this weekend. What tips do I need to know to make my first apple pie successful? Also, I’m baking tasty top cake pops to make the celebration more fun.

Answer: If you plan to make your pie crust from scratch make sure you use cold butter so that it won’t melt into the dough. Else, using cold butter could make the crust too flaky.

Also, use the right apples. Using the right apples can make a big difference. I’d suggest you use Granny Smith apples if you want a nice and concentrated apple flavor in your pie. Lastly, after placing your top pie crust, brush the top with an egg-wash, which is a combination of egg, water, and milk. This adds a pretty golden brown color to your crust.

If you want it much easier, then you can use a Pillsbury pie crust and lucky leaf pie filling in a can. Just follow the package directions. Or buy a pre-made one from the store. But the home-made one will taste better for sure.
