Austrian neurologist Sigmund Freud is the quintessential image for psychiatry. Known for developing psychoanalysis, his conceptualizations and methods have come under fire for being unscientific. Critics fail to see however, his immense contributions which are applicable not only to the field of Psychology but to other fields as well, even popular culture. Besides a lot of films depicting the founder of psychoanalysis, Freud has also been the target of a lot of Psychiatrist jokes. Thus, it may surprise the public to find out that Freud has a good sense of humor, and he has actually even studied the topic. Freud believes that humor may have a relationship with peoples’ unconscious mind. Besides Freud’s pioneering work with the unconscious, he is recognized for his studies on the id, ego, and superego, the libido, the life and death drives, among others. Without Freud, the field of psychotherapy would not have bloomed. Along with Marx and Nietsche, being one of the masters of the so-called ‘school of suspicion’, Freud is indeed a powerful force in the intellectual world.

I have been very busy with work at home and at the same time preparing for my exams and I rarely get time to use myspace and chat with my friends from outside. I have not opened my account for a period of one week, which is what I am planning to do even now so that I can concentrate on preparing for my exams. I was tempted to open my account though last night after I had studied for almost two hours and my head was so tired that I did not know what else could clam my nerves. The problem is that I am more worried now because I have like twenty two messages but MySpace inbox is not loading, and this means that I cannot access my messages. I have tried all the possible ways to love the problem at hand but it just seems impossible. If there is any way in which you can help me know what the problem is, please let me know because now the concentration has switched to may account and I have lost interest in preparing for my exam and I understand that this is risky.
